Split Region Excursions

Krka Waterfalls
For all those who love the untouched nature, this is an preordained trip! Through the Dalmatian back-country (Dalmatinska zagora), we reach Trilj and Dugopolje and then the National park «Krka», which represents an oasis in the middle of the grey stone scenery, with its plenitude of water (waterfalls of the river Krka with over 17 cascades) as well as its lush vegetation. After some hours of walking on trimmed promenades, which almost invite you to explore nature or to bath in the crystal-clear water, a boat will take us down the river to Skradine. Nearby, there is also the old town Šibenik that we are going to visit.
Unique Dubrovnik
A trip you simply mustn't miss! A pleasant panorama drive on the coach leads us over the Makarska Riviera, the Baćina Lakes, the valleys of the river Neretva and passing by the Elaphites to the pearl among Adriatic cities – Dubrovnik. This town is a unique monument of culture and history and as such under UNESCO's protection, and together with its huge walls it represents the witness of a rich and vivacious past of the people in this region. We will tell you one part of the history, during the sightseeing of the older part of the town, the other part we will leave up to you, so that you can explore it by yourself strolling through the narrow alleys, stairs, squares…
Biokovo
An unforgettable trip for all the aficionados of mountains and enchanting sceneries! The trip to the highest mountain on the Adriatic Sea (Sveti Jure, 1762 m) is a unique experience, which you will remember for a long time. Due to its beauty, it was declared a Natural Preserve, and due to its geographical position, it offers an exceptional view on the mountain as well as the sea sceneries. In the north, the view ranges up to the mountains deep in the midland of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and in the south to the Makarska Riviera, the islands of Middle Dalmatia, the peninsula of Pelješac, and sometimes even to the Italian coast. On our way back, one of the Dalmatian dishes in a pleasant ambience will perfect the experience of this trip!
Plitvice Lakes
We take you to one of the most beautiful national parks which is included on the UNESCO list of world nature heritage. Nature has created 16 spectacular lakes, connected by stunning waterfalls and cascades. Discover the unique oasis of natural beauty - Plitvice Lakes by walking along the paths and wooden bridges, taking a tour by small train and boat, listening to the sounds of nature, enjoying the colourful scenery of crystal blue lakes, white waterfalls and cascades, and the green world of flora as well as the fresh mountain air!
Baćina Lakes
The Baćinska lakes are a series of mutually connected freshwater karst lakes, surrounded by meadows and poplar trees. Along the low, easily accessible shores of the lakes are beaches interchanged with picturesque bunches of reeds and other water plants and a large number of animal species, both in the water and on land. The surface of the lake is above sea level while the bottom is beneath sea level. Enjoy riding in unique “trupica” (traditional johnboats), visit the island of love and learn to fish in the traditional manner of the locals. Take a break with a tasty lunch after which you can bathe in the lake, take photographs or play the autochthonous game “plokanje” (traditional rock throwing game). Another day to remember.
Fish Picnic
This trip gives you the possibility to completely relax and enjoy yourself! A pleasant boating trip, bathing, fish from the rust and wine in a delightful atmosphere of one of the numerous bays of the nearby islands guarantee that a day is waiting for you which will make you remember this vacation for a long time! Come and join us!
Rafting
This is, without doubt, one of the most exciting ways to experience the river and the nature by active participation and with lots of adrenaline. Nearby the sea coast, only some kilometres in the back-country, the river Cetina makes its way through the mountains, and with its curling course of the river it almost invites you to be discovered this way. Foamy chutes and the untouched nature promise an adventure to remember! Return in the afternoon hours.
Split and Trogir
Over the rocky parts of the Dalmatian back-country, we come to Klis, wherefrom we have a wonderful view onto Split, the antique Salona as well as the entire Kaštelanska Bay. Not far away from Klis, there is the city of Trogir, whose Old Town is located on a small island between the mainland and the island of Čiovo, and which is under the protection of the UNESCO as part of the world culture heritage. After sightseeing Trogir, we continue our journey to Split, whose old parts of town, such as the palace of the Roman emperor Diokletianus and the temple of Jove, derive from the 3rd century. Today, Split is a modern seaport, with pulsating life during day and night. Nevertheless, the town has kept the spirit of a small Mediterranean town that we will love to show you!
Mostar - East meets west
This is an ideal trip for those who want to try something exotic and something else than that they are used to. For centuries, Mostar has been a place where two different cultures meet: the western and the eastern one, as well as two different religions: Christianity and Islam. This is why you can see an interesting connection and mixture of civilisation in the architecture, the customs and the life of the people of this old town, located on the river Neretva. The bridge on the river, which gave this town the name, the bazaar, the mosques and a walk through Mostar will help you to feel the magic of the orient!
Village Party - Kokorići, the Dalmatian back-country
A visit of the original ethno village in the Dalmatian back-country will lead you to the unique experience of the old pattern of life in this region. Today, when the daily life rests on technical achievements, a return to a past not so long ago is worth-while because we can se and remember how difficult life was for our ancestors. Collections of old everyday objects, original old farmhouses and traditional dishes of the peasants from Biokovo will help you on this journey to the past! In this region, a trip with the traditional river boats, the so-called trupice, is inevitable so that we will sail a part down the small river Matica, of course with vessels!
