This modern, comfortable hotel is located in a wonderful place on the Lapad peninsula beside the sandy beach of Sumratin. Along the beach is a promenade where pleasant walks can be taken during a hot summer or a mild winter. The Old Town of Dubrovnik is 10 minutes by taxi, or local bus (take numbers 6, 5 or 4). If you want a good walk, it is 25 minutes on foot. The airport is 25 minutes by bus or car.
The Hotel Kompas offers 114 rooms including suites, and most offer spectacular views of the Bay of Lapad (54 rooms include a balcony with a sea view; 60 additional rooms offer a park view). All rooms feature a shower or bath, WC, hair dryer, direct dial telephone, remote controlled satellite TV, mini bar, central heating and cooling in 25% rooms and 85% with air conditioning system.
Hotel amenities and facilities include a souvenir shop, car and scooter rental, a currency exchange office, and parking. Nearby is a beauty parlour and hairdresser. Guests can also rent a PC with standard configuration on request.
Dine in either of the two hotel restaurants or help yourself at the self-service bistro. Breakfast is buffet style, and in our main dining restaurant, guests can enjoy international style and vegetarian dishes. The Taverna bar Kompas offers a la carte dining from a Mediterranean menu. The casual family Bistro (grill and buffet, cakes and ice-cream) in the terrace area is great for a relaxing meal. Cocktails can be had in either of the two aperitif bars or the cafe. During summer time, dance your dinner away to the music played each night.
On-site facilities include an indoor pool with sauna, massage and a trim cabinet beside it. An outdoor swimming pool is also available. In the game salon, play some table tennis or get in a game on the nearby tennis courts. Water sports, including boat rental, pedalo', canoe, paragliding and diving club, can be arranged in front of the hotel. Bikes are also available for rent.
The hotel offers meeting facilities, which can accommodate a range of people in four different rooms. In the Lido Bar Room, a small group of 15 persons can be arranged as well. The following equipment is available: television with VHS video recorder, tape recorder as well as CD player, overhead projector, flip charts, copy machine, fax machine, and internet services.
